This is a Story All About How... Launched as Pinwheel on December 1, 1977. Originally broadcasted 12 hours of educational TV with no commercials Rebranded as Nickelodeon in 1979 and included new shows like the comedy sketch show, “You Can’t Do That on Television” Suffered from poor ratings and reviews, so once again changed, focusing on interests of children.

Did I Do That? Nickelodeon’s influence on America was very noticeable. Merchandise, role models, and activity campaigns provided through their shows encouraged children to go out and be active, and try new things.

Do-Do-Do you have it? What shows are these characters from?

You Feelin’ it Now Mr. Krabs? Nickelodeon over the times has adapted its nature to fit the wants of people. Today, Nickelodeon aims focus on producing content that is more politically correct and inclusive so as to not offend anyone. The old Nickelodeon was able to blend in hidden jokes/references that adults could enjoy and understand as mature references, while children could still find it entertaining. Nowadays some of those jokes might not fly with certain individuals or groups of people.
