I am working towards a certification teaching Elementary Education.. This is the final semester of my training as a teacher. I have also had experience teaching children from the ages of six to fifteen years and enjoyed working with Elementary/Middle school age children with and without special needs. Besides getting practical experience with children by being in the College of Education at Appalachian State, I have also worked for sixteen years as a teacher assistant in the Caldwell County School System. Outside of working with children some of my interests include running, biking, hiking, reading, and crafts. My goal upon graduating is to obtain a teaching position in an Elementary classroom. I also hope to get my licensure in Middle School Math and Science as well as Special Education. I will be working with the students in your child's class in various capacities both with small and large groups in math, science, social studies, and language arts activities. I'm excited to work with your child this semester.
