Figure 1 Intratumoral Antigen Presentation by CD11b+Ly6C+ DCs following Anthracycline-Induced ICD Anthracyclines induce ICD in sensitive cells, leading to release of ATP and recruitment of CD11b+Ly6C+ inflammatory monocytes via purinergic receptors. ATP also promotes DC differentiation, and following antigen uptake and activation via the interaction between HMGB1 and TLR4, CD11b+Ly6C+ DCs remain in the tumor and are able to promote a local CD8+ T cell response.
