Whenever a major piece of infrastructure has been put up, it has invariably set off real-estate activity in its vicinity. The Chief minister Siddaramaiah said that steps will be taken to improve road connectivity, sanitation and water facilities in the town.  This decision is taken to reduce congestion in Bangalore. The CM was speaking at the inauguration of the rail service between Chikkaballapur and Kolar said that all pending railway projects in the state will be cleared on a priority basis, he hoped that Karnataka will occupy a prime slot in railway transport in the coming years.

 A proposal has been submitted to the cabinet for the construction of the international-level sports village in Chikkaballapur which just a stone’s throw away from Bangalore International Airport. The survey for the requisite land has already been conducted, said Department of Youth Service and Sports Minister. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the construction of the swimming pool at Sir M V Stadium at Chikkaballapur.  The pool is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore where even international events can be held. Rs.10 crore proposal had been submitted to the cabinet for the development of the district-level Sir M V Stadium where ultra modern facilities will be created.

 In addition to these government plans and schemes, the famous tourist centre Nandi Hills that attracts lot of tourists is within close range. This boosts business centres there and lot of premium builders are making their colonies along the foot hills of Nandi Hills.
