What are the Pathway to Biliteracy Awards? Specialized awards given to any student who meets the OCDE biliteracy criteria Biliteracy ribbons given in preschool, Kindergarten, third, fifth or sixth grades Biliteracy medal given in eighth grade

Why offer the Pathway to Biliteracy Awards? Honors the achievement of our students Strengthens community connections Encourages the pursuit of biliteracy/multiliteracy Affirms positive attitudes towards multilingualism Validates the use of multiple languages for students Encourages college and career readiness Prepares students with 21st century skills
