Analyzing Days Carried Calf at Abort Events

Option #1 Using Events Table

Use Command: EVENTS\ISB FOR LACT>0 Choose Date Ranges you wish to analyze

Choose Event Option: Table by Month

Check box for ABORT Event and then click OK

You now get a table of Abort Events by Month You now get a table of Abort Events by Month. Double Click on Abort table to display all Abort Events If farm puts DCC at Abort Event in Remarks, you can export to Excel and analyze further in their Note that this farm doesn’t always put DCC at Abort in their Remarks

Option #2 Using Egraph

Use Command: EGRAPH Choose ABORT Event, Dates, Days Carried Calf, Lactation Groups and then click OK

Graph will appear with distribution of DCC at Abort Events

In bottom left corner of Graph, Click on Grid

DCC at Abort events are listed in 7 day windows All Abortion Events from the graph will now be in table format You can export table to Excel to analyze the data further Abort_1 = Cows 1st abortion event during the past year Abort_2 = Cows 2nd abortion event during the past year DCC at Abort events are listed in 7 day windows Example: 9 cows had an abort event that were between 171 to 177 DCC when assigned an abortion date
