The Three Essential Attributes that Make Great Political Leaders Name: Claudenice McCalister Course: ESL 100 Professor: Heather Maclean Date: 11/06/2008

INTRODUCTION I decided to begin with the quotation: “ I’m asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington… I’m asking you to believe in yours.” Barack Obama The reason that I chose this quote is because it is meaningful in my context. It shows one of the qualities of good political leaders that is to motivate the followers.

CONCLUSION Given the above information, it is clear that the three most remarkable attributes that cause great leaderships in the political field are the ability to understand and manage oneself and others emotions leading to star performance, the ability to create engagement and attach action to thought, and the ability to recognize life principles and develop life in accordance with these principles. Something Deep and Meaningful: Becoming a great political leader is not something easy to accomplish. There are many issues involved in this role that can lead a politician to show their weakness. Those issues can inhibit the emotional intelligence, destroy the passion and break the character. The great political leaders, that history can account, had the essential features to resist failure. (Still in progress, not finished yet.)
