Woodenbong Beer & Golf Appreciation Weekend Trip Date: 8th to 10th September 2017 Trip Leader: Paul Munday (0439 703 562) Tail End Charlie: Glen Battese
Itenerary Join us for a relaxing weekend of golf and socialising for the whole family There are no planned 4WD trips, but Brooklyn is just down the road if you feel the need to engage your hubs at any time during the trip. Friday Night Meet at the Woodenbong golf club house and chew the fat with club members and locals. The golf club has offered to put on some live music for the evening. There is also a restaurant on the premises to provide meals for those who are inclined to leave the cooking to others. Saturday A four ball best ball golf competition allowing those who are not overly skilled in the art of golf to ride on the back of those who can swing a club. The comp should finish around lunch time with presentation of the awards to winning combatants. Awards include both recognition for individual achievements as well as group efforts. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing in camp or exploring the local township. Once again, the club house is at our disposal. The club facilities will be available all day. Sunday Relax and continue home at your leisure.
Details MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW The golf course has offered to let us camp in the paddock next to the golf course. They will also allow us to use the sites facilities (shower and toilets). Costs: $15pp for golf $10 per night, per site The golf club is suffering from a lack of patronage at the moment as they only have 14 full members. That said, the course looks to be in very good nick. They are keen to put on a good weekend in the hope that we will spend time at the club house using the restaurant and bar facilities (both of which seem larger than the Woodenbong pub).
