The Blessings of the Sent Part 34: According to Dr. Luke

Luke 10: 17The Seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.” 18He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like a lightning flash. 19Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you. 20However, don’t rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of everyone watching you. 19All those who know you among the nations are appalled at you. You have become an object of horror and will never exist again.”

Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish? For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached. God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong… God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world - what is viewed as nothing - to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His presence. (1st Corinthians 1:20-21, 28-29)

What we believe at Morning Star Baptist Church God has revealed Himself to us in three distinct ways: God the Father is personal, eternal, changeless God… God the Son is God revealing Himself in human form as Jesus Christ… God the Holy Spirit makes men aware of their sin, judgment of that sin, and their need for a Savior.
