21In that same hour He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure. 22All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son desires to reveal Him.”

Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish? For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached. God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong… God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world - what is viewed as nothing - to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His presence. (1st Corinthians 1:20-21, 28-29)

Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish? For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached. What we believe at Morning Star Baptist Church God has revealed Himself to us in three distinct ways: God the Father is personal, eternal, changeless God… God the Son is God revealing Himself in human form as Jesus Christ… God the Holy Spirit makes men aware of their sin, judgment of that sin, and their need for a Savior. He indwells the believer with power, spiritual understanding and guidance in holy living.

Detailed Statement of Beliefs – Morning Star Baptist Church The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

The Triune Nature of God “There is one only and true God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three coeternal and coequal Persons, the same in substance but distinct in subsistence.” (B.B. Warfield)

God is Incomprehensible (Unsearchable) Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay Him? (Romans 11:33-35)

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated. They inquired into what time or what circumstances the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when He testified in advance to the messianic sufferings and the glories that would follow. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Angels desire to look into these things. (1st Peter 1:10-12)
