IEEE R10 Strategic Planning Strategic Planning Coordinator Prof H P Khincha 12/8/2018

Background This is a committee which has no specific guidance given to the coordinator The activity is linked to the IEEE strategic planning direction and also to the regional diversity and aspiration The strategic planning could be both long term say 2030 or short term The group is also expected to promote strategic inputs to the director on issues and when they arise 12/8/2018

Background Could take up soft issues or could deliberate and provide inputs on hard issues The openness of the job of the committee may lead to non specific mentioned tasks and timelines and processes and also leave the committee / group vulnerable to positive / negative assessments 12/8/2018

Key strategic initiatives 1 Some of the strategic initiatives and / or goals that can be debated Financial self sustainability and or sustainability Multinational or international form of IEEE Organization Relationship pf volunteer / business activities New engagement models of IEEE members New organization structure of region , interrelationships between entities ( Section , regions, Sections, Society, council etc.) Volunteer leadership development and mentoring and training Interactivity and inter organization collaboration and coordination 12/8/2018
