Nautical News Mrs. Hairston August 9th—18th Information Reminders: Related Arts: 7:45-8:30 Lunch: 11:35-12:00 Friendship Friday: This Friday we will talk about friendship and make a friendship salad. I am asking each student to please bring in one can of fruit for this activity. Thank you! Set Sail in First Grade Parents, We are going to have a fantastic first week of school! I am looking forward to a great year together! Take a look at this weekly newsletter to get an idea of what will be going on next week and the weeks to follow. To help get our year off to a successful start, please remember to: *Student Binder: Check your child’s binder ever night for homework and other important information. It is important that you SIGN the agenda inside the binder each night to let me know you have seen it. *Newsletter: Look for this newsletter to come home each week on Friday afternoon. It will give you details for the following week. *Snack: Send a health snack with your child each day! If you need to make alternate arrangements, just send me an email and we can work something out! *Shoes: Send your little ones in close toed shoes every day. Since we are on an alternative Related Arts schedule, your little one can keep a pair of shoes in their cubbie. *Money: When sending in lunch money, please send it in a sealed envelope with your child’s name, amount of money, and what the money is for. Please keep Library books in your child’s backpack and send in a pair of tennis shoes to keep at school. Parent Volunteers: I can always use an extra pair of hands in the classroom. If you are interested in setting up a regular time to come in and volunteer each week, or if you just want to pop in every now and then- please send me an email and let me know.
