They believed that ghosts, witches and evil spirits returned on that night. What did the Celts do to send them away? They wore frightening costumes and… made big fires!

Colours What were the 2 colours of Halloween ? Black and orange! What did the 2 colours represent for the Celts? Black represented winter and long nights. Orange represented the harvest. What did the Druids believe about black cats? They believed that black cats had special powers. So they have become a symbol for Halloween.
