CONCLUSIONS Syphilis is able to display diverse systemic manifestations. Is necessary to search for syphilis in patients consulting with optic neuritis. The ocular syphilis shuld be treated as if it were a neurosyphilis. Antitreponemal therapy generates a fast and effective response.
