Sex and Relationship Education at UCPS Parent Presentation for Year 2

Aims To explain what is in the Year 2 SRE curriculum To give an overview of the lesson outcomes To answer any questions

Labelling body parts

Right to withdraw SRE has two aspects: Science (about labelling body parts and reproduction) Personal Social Health & Emotional PSHE (which is about how to form positive loving relationships, learn about hygiene, learn how to solve problems with relationships, different types of family) Parents have a right to withdraw from SRE lessons from the PSHE aspects – they cannot withdraw from the science content (e.g. when the content is about reproduction) Please speak with class teacher if you would like to withdraw your child from the PSHE aspects.
