Adoption and Utilization in FY 2006 Of the 26 agencies, 21 reached FY 2006 goal of posting 75% of their application packages for discretionary funding opportunities 76% of all federal discretionary grants were available for electronic applications through Grants.gov Applicants submitted over 90,000 applications with a total of 106,205 submissions since initiative began Over 52,000 Authorized Organization Representatives (AORs) – individuals authorized to submit grant applications for an organization – 18,000 in FY 05 12/8/2018 PAGE 9

Status of Agency Participation First Quarter FY 07 During the week of November 26th through December 2nd, Grants.gov received 6,403 submissions for the 104 closings scheduled that week The largest number of submissions to date on one day was 2,099 received on December 1st 12/8/2018 PAGE 11

Mac Viewer Update Macintosh Viewer Update - IBM provided the Special Edition Mac Viewer for PPC to the Grants.gov PMO. The viewer was posted to the Grants.gov site on Thursday December 21, 2006. The product is a general release product and is not supported publicly, however, IBM has arranged for a help line for the Grants.gov PMO to address questions. Grants.gov would like to thank NSF, NIH, FDP, COGR and Mr. Bob Beattie from the University of Michigan for their assistance in testing this product. 12/8/2018 PAGE 12

On-Time Submission Requirements For NIH All registrations must be completed prior to initial submission. Initial submission must have a Grants.gov timestamp on or before 5:00 p.m. local time of submitting organization on the receipt date. Any corrections needed to address errors/warnings identified by eRA Commons must be made within five business day correction window. 12/8/2018 PAGE 19

NIH Application Image Viewing Window After NIH receives an error-free application an assembled application image is generated and placed in the eRA Commons. Applicants have two weekdays (including holidays) to view the assembled application before it automatically moves forward to NIH’s Division of Receipt and Referral. Signing Official (SO) has option to “Reject”. If “Rejected” after receipt date for any reason other than system issue, subsequent corrected submission is subject to NIH late policy. 12/8/2018 PAGE 21
