Warm Up 1/5 Make THREE predictions of what you expect to happen in the remainder of Act IV. *these CANNOT include characters’ deaths. *these CANNOT be about your chosen character.

Learning Targets I can watch Branagh’s film production of Act III in order to be exposed to the Shakespearean language used throughout the act, and also to cement my comprehension of the Act itself. I can closely follow a character’s portrayal in the film version of Hamlet in order to develop a stronger depth of understanding for that character’s motivation. I can work with a group to identify important character lines in scenes of Act IV.

Group Work 1/5 – 1/8 There are seven scene groups, so break up into a group of four. I will assign your group number once you’ve assembled. In your scene group, Write a quick summary of your scene (in everyone’s journals). List out all major characters, and for each Record their most important line (with line #) Explain in 1-2 sentences why this line is so important (record everyone’s work in your journal) Be prepared to share!
