Deakin University Young Influencer Award
The Deakin University Young Influencer Award is an exciting program available to high-achieving and motivated Year 11 students. Beyond academic results, Deakin values students who want to make a difference in the world. Award value Recipients of the Young Influencer Award will receive a $5,000 scholarship. Award payment: $500 at your School's 2018 Award night, with $4500 paid to commencing students at Deakin University across their first year of study, in 2020.
About the award The Deakin Young Influencer Award is for current Year 11 students who: Have made an outstanding contribution to their school or local community, or perhaps a community in need in Australia or overseas; Demonstrate a real willingness to help, coach, teach or care for others in a significant way; Foster inclusive and supportive environments wherever they go; Show a willingness to challenge preconceived ideas and the status quo; Are strong leaders, helping to bring about change for the betterment of others; Generate and apply new ideas and fresh thinking to real-world problems and help to deliver new solutions that make positive impacts; Share knowledge and cultivate connections on a local level, or, far and wide; or Are committed students who have achieved above-average year 11 results.

How to Apply Interested students must complete a written application and submit this to Ms Seremetis and Ms Williamson by Friday 14th September. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. APPLICATION FORM Winner will be presented with the Deakin Young Influencer Scholarship at the Mazenod College Speech Night 18 October 2018 by a Deakin representative.
