Tech Theatre Course Description: Students will learn every aspect of technical theatre, including shop work, lights, sound, costumes, and props. This is a hands on course in which the students will be interacting with technical theater equipment including drills, saws, paint, and electrics.

Group and Individual projects Daily Grades Participation in EVERY afterschool performance Evaluations of shows technical elements Quizzes (Safety and tools only)

Tech Theatre Grading Breakdown -Students will receive a daily grade in class. -At the end of each week, the daily grade is totaled and entered at a Major grade. -“Daily Grades” include grades for keeping their areas safe and clean. If a student is doing something unsafe, points will be deducted. -Major grades are those grades in which the student gets for their job on each show. After school attendance will be required on every Theatre event, and 2 week prior to opening night. Dates will be given as soon as possible.

No food, drink, or gum allowed in theater, and only water allowed in black box.

Music: No earbuds are allowed in ears while in tech class. This is a safety issue, even if you are not the one currently working on a project.
