Presentation transcript:

Bell work – 5 minutes Read the entire bubble gum lab. Q: Write one question you have about the lab. A:

I’ll know I’ve got it when… Learning target I can use data collected using scientific method to test my hypothesis. Today I am… Chew gum to determine which one blows the best bubble. So that I’ll be able to… understand how scientist collect and use data. I’ll know I’ve got it when… I can successfully complete an experiment, collect data, and answer all questions using my data.

Bubble gum lab QUESTIONS What are some of the questions you wrote down for your bell work? Discussion

Pre Lab Complete Questions 1-7 Create a data table to collect all data for both brand A and brand B gum Once data table is constructed I will check your pre lab before you start collecting data.

Collecting Data Follow the procedure to collect all data for your brand of gum. Both lab groups will need to work together to collect the gum stretch data because you will need 3 people. Make sure all data is recorded in your data table. Questions 7-10 should be answered after all data has been collected for both brands of gum.

Lab reflection Complete you self assessment for this learning target! Problems? Errors? Still have questions? Anything you did not understand? Something that confused you during lab? Anything else you would like to share? Complete you self assessment for this learning target!

Homework Pg. 4 LS Create your own diagram representing the scientific method. Requirements: Must have color Must help you understand the scientific method Must be original (you cannot copy the one in the lectures notes)
