Scientific & Historical Challenges to the Resurrection story – what is the issue? The gospels say that Jesus was physically resurrected from the dead. Modern-day science says that this is not possible. Is it possible to believe both? How should Christians today respond to this dilemma?

Possible Christian Responses to the Challenges: Science is true. The resurrection did not happen. Science is not true. The resurrection did happen. The resurrection is more probably than alternative explanations of the empty tomb. There is good evidence for the resurrection, but there are gaps in the explanation which faith is required to fill. Scientific and historical analysis is not the only answer - also need to look at wider evidence and Christian beliefs.

What is Wilson’s approach to the resurrection? From your reading: What is Wilson’s approach to the resurrection? What is Morison’s approach to the resurrection? Where would they fit in these positions?... Science is true.

Wilson vs Morison Complete the sheet to summarise the key evidence/arguments put forward and help you come to a balanced conclusion about the issue.
