R. stick down floors with PVC backing can be installed in interior installation sites to on or above grade concrete or wooden sub-floors General: In the case of any other type of subfloor, please contact your supplier The subfloor must be levelled, permanently dry, clean and free from anything that may impair adhesion Use only primers and levelling compounds suitable for the existing subfloor. For A. R. stick down floors with PVC backing, the surface temperature of the subfloor must not exceed 28°C (82°F) Radiant-Heated Subfloors: For detailed information, follow the instructions supplied by the subfloor heating system manufacturer/contractor or contact your supplier.

Professional Training Product Management Installing stick down floors with PVC backing Moisture protection: Despite it's age there is always a risk of moisture in subfloors For that reason it is necessary to ensure that an efficient moisture barrier is installed The moisture content of concrete subfloors should be as indicated below (when using a CM measuring instrument): Cement-screed without floor heating:> 2,0 CM% with integrated floor heating: > 0,5 CM% Gypsum/Anhydrite-screed without floor heating:> 0,5 CM% with integrated floor heating: > 0,3 CM%

Professional Training Product Management Installing stick down floors with PVC backing Preventive care: If works will take place in the room where the floor is installed, protect with craft paper, plywood or hardboard Do not drag furniture across the floor Use felt pads on chair and furniture legs Office roller chairs must comply with DIN Place quality walk-off mats at all entrances to retain tracked in dirt, grit and moisture Never use latex or rubber backed mats as they can permanently stain the floor Avoid moisture on the floor

Professional Training Product Management Installing stick down floors with PVC backing Ideal and healthy room conditions are % R.H. at 20°C (68°F) When using intensive room heating, the indoor air humidity may drop so low that the floor is prone to dry out As cork and wood are natural material, this may cause shrinkage of the tiles that will result in minor gaps in the flooring joints - use a room humidifier to prevent this Cork as a natural material may tend to fade, Wood as a natural material may tend to mellow/darken when exposed to sunlight- use blinds, curtains or other sunscreening system to minimise this effect.

Professional Training Product Management Installing stick down floors with PVC backing If laying in diagonal, mark two diagonal lines starting from the intersection point, dividing the 90º angle in half (forming like this a 45º angle). Measurements: Find the centre of the room using a chalk line, from the middle of wall A to the middle of A1, then make a line from the middle of wall B to the middle of wall B1 Check that the intersection of the two lines forms a 90° angle If necessary repeat the previous step by drawing new parallel lines to the first ones Measurement check: Check the room dimension by measuring or placing the tiles (without gluing), from the middle Make sure that the widths of the tiles that will be near the wall are identical and greater than 5 cm

Professional Training Product Management Installing stick down floors with PVC backing Laying: Only use Wicanders W-336 adhesive for installation (wet set method) and recommended notched trowel (A2) Follow the instructions on the adhesive package Install the tiles from the centre along the marked line, preferably using "brick-bond" system Place tiles side by side without pushing too tightly together Lightly press each tile down by hand Remove any excess adhesive with a damp cloth or white spirit.

Professional Training Product Management Installing stick down floors with PVC backing In order to ensure adhesion, spread only adhesive on an area which can be installed within the recommended adhesive open time. Important: The backing of the tiles has to be moistened with adhesive to ensure a good adhesion _ check this by lifting one tile. Adhesive transfer: After each section has been laid and tiles do not slide underfoot (approx. 30 min.), the floor must be rolled diagonally with a multi-part roller (minimum 50 kg) to ensure complete transference of the adhesive to the tile backing Rolling the floor: Roll again the entire area after completion of installation

Wicanders W-185) or another type of suitable edge sealer. On-site cutting: Each tile has sealed edges Whenever you cut a tile, the edges become unprotected
