Emotional Literacy: Living in Discovery A key concept is that your discovery is about you. As simple as this is, it is a significant skill to learn to shift attention from ‘the problem’ or from other people to what you are discovering, the only person you really are in charge of. When sharing this with others, use “I” language. 1. How is my breathing… What specific things do I notice about my breath right now . . . 2. What body sensations are present right now. . . 3. What are the bits doing; i.e. in the areas I notice sensations, specifically describe the sensations in your own way. Issue / Check-in in the moment 7. Back to the breath, and simple, compassionate presence and being with . . . Appreciate yourself for all that you noticed and discovered. Issue 4. What core feelings are present right now … Anger Sadness Fear Sexual Joy 6. Am I reminded of anything from my past… 5. Are any thoughts present… Any imagery …. ?
