2018 SATs Changes More rigorous than 2015 Raw scores Range of scaled score:80 to 120 Scaled score-expected standard 100 Greater depth- 110 scaled score 2016 saw the abolition of Levels and the first test based on the new curriculum. More rigorous- changes to the Maths paper, quick recall, no calculators New marking and grading system- tests are both set and marked externally teacher assessment-Writing
Calculating raw scores The raw scores for each test are calculated by adding the scores from each paper for a subject.
Range of scaled scores The range of scaled scores available for each KS2 test is the same as 2016 and is intended to stay the same in future years. 80 is the lowest scaled score that can be awarded and 120 is the highest scaled score.
Expected Standard Pupils scoring at least a scaled score of 100 will have met the expected standard of the test. A pupil awarded a scaled score of 99 or below has not met the expected standard in the test.

GPS: Sample Questions Reading test 1hour to read booklet and answer 33 questions , long answers, one /two words, selected answers. This question assesses understanding of modal verbs to indicate degrees of possibility. 45 mins to answer 46 questions 2700/46 approx 58 sec per question

Reading Have a look at both the reading paper and question book 3 texts, 39 questions 1 hour in total- reading and answering Mixture of questions- inference, retrieval, 30 min to answer 36 questions ( 1800sec) 50 seconds per questions. Answer 1242
