ASEA Leadership Development Training 2017 - Module 5 Pique Interest ASEA Leadership Development Training 2017 - Module 5 Morten Andersen INTRODUCTION (Relate and Identify, the audience has to feel that they are just like you: so they listen, and so they can justify joining ASEA themselves.) YOUR STORY (Include something about:) Time – (e.g. you were very busy and a slave to time.) Money – (describe your situation, e.g. more month than money.) Job – (e.g. beholden to a job that didn’t fulfill you and you were making money for other people.) Economic Uncertainty – (e.g. no retirement fund to rely on, not enough money invested to carry you through economic uncertainty etc.) Financial Security – (e.g. living pay check to pay check.) Transition Statement And then, probably just like you, a friend of mine contacted me…….. And [he/she] immediately caught my attention with this new business model. July 12, 2017

Pique interest Short call or conversation – just to create curiosity Launch your business List of names Pique Interest Expert call Presentation Signup and Launch Short call or conversation – just to create curiosity Intention: Get them to want to know more: Have a short talk with an Expert Attend a presentation The Expert is normally one in your upline that knows more than you Long version Connect, find their needs, tell your story Invite to the next step: Talk with the Expert or come directly to a presentation. The short version – business only Edify the Expert (not you or ASEA), create curiosity for the business possibility. Book a call between your Expert and the prospect. Nothing else!

Connect, identify their needs Short, direct approach The message and edify the Expert In any case the INTENTION with the invitation is to PIQUE THEIR CURIOUSITY and get them to want to see the presentation (often via a short call with your Expert) Book appointment To an Expert call (or directly to a presentation)

Connect, identify their needs The Long Version Total call length 5-10 minutes In this version it’s all about identifying what their need are It could be a Health issue, Performance issue (Athlete) or an Economic issue. In general, the economic issue is a need for just about everyone.  You may even share your story Remember Health: People will be interested if they feel you are genuinely interested in helping them.  Business: They must feel it is Simple, Doable and that it will work for them! It does not matter what the needs are, until the person feels the conversation is genuine and the focus is on them Be an interested person and you will be perceived as an interesting person

The Short Version Short, direct approach Total call length 2-5 minutes Business focused Fast, no talks about ASEA or their needs In fact you don’t mention the name ASEA or talk about your involvement at all Edify the Expert (not you or ASEA), create curiosity for the business possibility. Book a call between your Expert and the prospect. Nothing else!

I’m sure you will get along with him very well. _____________________________________________________________________ (edify the expert, very important). Currently he is expanding a US based company that has already done half a Billon dollars internationally. He has asked me who are the best people I know, and for me you are on that list! I don’t know if the two of you will do anything together businesswise, but I know he is definitely someone you would like to meet.

Piquing interest – The message Book appointment Piquing interest – The message When is it a good time for you have a 5-minute call with him, just to say hi? I know he is very busy, but he has the possibility at ________ between ____ and ____, and on _________ between ____ and ____. What works best for you? Wait for the answer. If OK…. OK, great. I will check and confirm to you right away.

Piquing interest – If questions… If questions or a response like “I don’t have time”… I know you don’t have time right now so give me a time that would work for you. I want to make sure you get all your questions answered, so I recommend you to do a short call with, just 5 minutes. He is extremely knowledgeable and is one of the key people responsible for the global expansion of this technology. Or… I don’t know the details, so I recommend you to take his short call with him. He can answer all your questions. OK? No matter what, do not answer, explain or send links. Always refer to the expert. If they don’t want to meet the expert or are not interested: That’s OK. I appreciate if you can refer me to a few people you know that would like to earn $5-10.000 extra a month. (adjust the numbers to the prospect)

5 minute Expert call If you choose to use an Expert: Launch your business List of names Pique Interest Expert call Presentation Signup and Launch If you choose to use an Expert: You have strongly edified the expert during piquing interest – they look up to the Expert and look forward to the call! The Expert talks to them and invites them to the presentation Types of Expert calls (all with the intention to get the prospect to a presentation): Individual: The Expert talks and connects directly with the prospect on a 3-way call where you just listen Group: Expert talks to many prospects on a conference call or Zoom Video: Short video where the Expert invites to the presentation

Intention The intention with an Expert Call is to get the prospect to say YES and want to come to a presentation! The presentation can be a scheduled group presentation - In a day or two (for most people) or A personal presentation just for that prospect (for the most influential)* - If possible right away (no need to wait till another day if you both have time now)

Types of Expert Calls Individual Group Video The Expert talks and connects directly with the prospect on a 3-way call Normally as a 3-way call with the sponsor listening in (not saying anything) Group Expert talks to many prospects – live - on a conference call or Zoom Video Short video where the Expert invites to the presentation

Individual Expert Call – 3 way Before the call the sponsor must: Inform the Expert about the prospect : Type of person, work, successes, influence, good qualities, connection to sponsor Practical: Phone number, Zoom/Skype works, links, etc. Edification is critical The sponsor must have EDIFIED the Expert! The success is proportional to how much the Expert is built up! Beginning of the call The sponsor introduces the Expert to the prospect in ONE sentence Then stays quiet for the rest of the call!

Expert call - introduction The sponsor starts: Hi ___, I have _____ on the phone right now, the one that I told you about. This is ____. The sponsor shuts up and let the Expert continue. First, get to know the person a bit, create a positive connection without flattering: Hi, how are you? ______ (Sponsor) told me about ________ (something about the job, a success or something else positive). How long have you been doing this _______? (Ask about anything relevant to show interest and learn about the person). (Sponsor) also told me that you ______ (anything else relevant, know many, is this or that person. Add something about yourself that connects you to some of what they said, e.g. that you have been doing something similar)

Expert call - introduction The message: Listen, as (sponsor) maybe told, I work with a large American company that is going to expand into (your area/country) and many other countries. (The company produces unique and patented products within health, wellness and anti-aging). We are looking to identify 3 or 4 people in ________ (your area/country) who do not need anything extra in their lives right now, who has great careers, probably do not have any extra time in their life. But based on who they are in the community, could possibly open some doors, make some introductions with what we are doing and generate some serious income from that. Would that be something interesting for you?

Expert call - introduction If Yes… Good! For the “Best” - set up a 1-1 meeting: When can we get together for 10-20 minutes, I think you will catch this really fast. For the “Easiest” – invite to an open PBR (group presentation) I will like to invite you to a short presentation at ________
