Hyperion By: Ally Huels

About Hyperion He was the Pillar of the East. Titan God of heavenly light One of the original 12 titans All of the Titans children are also titans Represented by light, wisdom, and watchfulness His name meant “watcher from above”

Family Son of Uranus and Gaia Hyperion-Father of the heavenly light Uranus- God of the heavens Gaia- Goddess of the Earth Four Titan brothers

Hyperion’s Children Hyperion was married to his sister, Selene Hyperion was married to his sister, Theia, who was the goddess of the blue sky. Helios- God of the sun Selene- Goddess of the moon Eos- Goddess of the dawn Helios Eos

Overthrown Nooooooo! My kingdom! Because of the sky's alignment with Earth, Hyperion, Crius, Koios, Coeus and Lapetus went to their four corners (or pillars) of the world. With the help of his Titan brothers, Hyperion overthrew his Father, Uranus. As a result, He was obviously very angry.

Castrated! Some stories relating to this myth have said that Hyperion and his Titan brothers then castrated Uranus with a sickle. This task was carried out by Uranus. Uranus Cronus

The Pit After the Titans were overthrown, they were thrown into the pit of Tartarus by Zeus, the King of the Gods. The pit is described as a place where the Earth, Sky, and Sea are connected. Some say that they were eventually released from the pit because of the mercy of Zeus.

Hyperion is Overthrown! However, some stories say that after Hyperion takes the kingdom from his Father, the Olympian’s then overthrow the Titans.

Where did this all occur?
