Energy transfers 1: Potential to kinetic (the hammer) 2: Elastic collision and momentum (hammer to ball) 3: Elastic collision and momentum (ball to ball) 4: Potential to kinetic (ball falls) 5: Chemical to electric to light (battery to LED)

And the verdict? A swinging weight was not as predictable as we predicted. The design and function was simple, but the construction methods were a bit harder than we first expected them to be. Das was better at building stuff than he claimed to be. Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Researching power requirements is a good thing.
