Bell Ringer First 5-10 minutes of class every day. Small spiral notebook or could use a section of class notebook in Office 365 Honors keeps notebook with them in their book bag Standard/Inclusion keep notebook in the classroom and pass out every day before students get there Why? Great way for students to have a routine in the classroom at the beginning. Gives teacher time to take attendance, deal with emergencies / student drama, and mentally prepare for the upcoming lesson.

Test taking Strategies “Mind Dump” Have students write out everything they know on the content being tested on before they begin the test. Short answer test on paper Have students answer the questions using their mind dump and allowing them to write everything they know. Multiple Choice test on computer Have students answer the exact test questions as their short answer questions. This allows students to select the best choice based on what they already know.
