Process for EdCAP GAP Analysis Fall 2013- Review of Accreditation Standards Volunteers for Standards Workgroups Fall 2013 & Spring 2014 Workgroups answer ACCJC Standard Prompts, gather evidence, and identify gaps Report out on findings Fall 2014 Validate gaps

Standard 1: Mission, Academic Quality and Institutional Effectiveness and Integrity Mission Statement should include: Identified Cycle of Review Review from external constituents

Standard 1: Continued… Integrated Planning to ensure Academic Quality and Institutional Effectiveness should cover: Academic Quality and Effectiveness- documentation (Ya’ll Come, Fall Fling, etc…)campus-wide dialog assessing, analyzing and evaluating mission accomplishments through program review (qualitative and quantitative data) Institutional Integrity- assuring accuracy and integrity of information

STANDARD II: Student Learning Programs and Support Services Instructional programs need to include: Consistent evaluation of Institutional level, GE Level, and Program Level Outcomes Examination of the effectiveness of GE outcomes learned in subsequent coursework/employment. Support of achievement outcomes for distance education (DE) Examination of the extent students’ progress to complete degrees and certificates through DE only or through a mix of DE and face-to-face delivery? Evaluation of programs/courses to improve learning outcomes and student achievements

STANDARD II: Student Learning Programs and Support Services Library and Learning Support Services need to include: Evaluation of support for DE, evening, and weekend student leaning and achievement Evidence of how programs that are created or changes that are made affect student success(SB 1456) Evaluate services to to assure adequacy of meeting institutional needs and support mission

Standard III: Resources The standard should include: A connection between personnel evaluations and institutional effectiveness and improvement. Evidence (qualitative and quantitative) of use of SLOs in all aspects of decision-making A central committee to plan, implement and evaluate the needs/effectiveness of DE program resources (equipment, IT support, and facilities) Feedback (better communication) between program requests for support with achievement / increased success within the program plan and SLO reporting.

Timeline…. Fall 2014 EdCAP finish Gap Analysis Standard’s Workgroups expand membership and continue completing outline and gathering evidence Spring 2015 EdCAP forward completed outlines and evidence to EVP/ALO Spring 2015-Fall 2015 Designated writer uses EdCAP Workgroup evidence and supporting documentation to write self-study EdCAP will work with Designated writer to help review drafts Campus-wide distribution and discussion of self-study

Timeline continues…. January 2016-First Draft to Board July 2016- Final Draft to the Board August 2016- Self-Study to ACCCJC October 2016- ACCCJC Site Visit Rinse and repeat….
