Quipu: A set of knotted strings that could be used to record data. Ayllu: Extended family group in the Incan civilization. Quechua: Official language imposed by the Incan civilization. Mita: A labor tribute in the Incan civilization that required all able-bodied citizens to work for the state a certain number of days each year.
