VOCABULARY SPOTLIGHT 5 minutes Sample Sentences: Frank deluded himself into believing that he was a great singer; although in reality, he was unable to carry a tune. Hospitality Research Mini-Project Instructions: Each student will be assigned one country. Follow the instructions for accessing the media center resources to find answers to the following questions. Then follow the steps on the next slide to share your findings. Essential Questions: How does your assigned country show hospitality? Investigate traditions, customs, food, etc. What responsibilities is a host in this country expected to fulfill? What responsibilities is a guest or visitor expected to fulfill?

Applying the Principles of Hospitality For the Informative Essay, you will investigate how the principles of hospitality might be used to improve our relationship with other cultures. To get started on your research, you will need to do the following: Review the Google Slide presentation that the class created today. Select a country that interests you. Examine what you would need to know to be a “good guest” in that country. TAKE NOTES! Identify things that might be challenging for residents of that country were they to come to the United States and speculate about ways that we could be better “hosts”. TAKE MOTES! You will need to do research OUTS THE ESSAY WILL BE WRITTEN IN CLASS ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8.
