Airplane Shaw STEM Lab 2017

K’Nex Basic If you’ve never used K’Nex before, read over these instructions to help you get started!

Airplane Instructions The instructions for the Airplane is 12 pages long. Click the picture on the right to take you to the instructions online. They begin on page 20 of the PDF that opens. After building the Airplane, return to this PowerPoint to work on your research.

Research Define the following terms. Take a picture of your plane and identify them on your plane. Rudder Aileron Fuselage Elevator Flap Tail

Research There are three axis that turn an airplane. They are Pitch, Yaw, and Roll. Formulate a definition for each one. Take a picture of your plane and label them on your plane. Pitch Yaw Roll

Research There are four forces that act on an airplane. They are Thrust, Weight, Lift, and Drag. Formulate a definition for each one. Take a picture of your airplane and identify these forces on your plane.
