Presentation transcript:

Rethinking Wireless Network Transport and Mobility Research Contribution Use all available networks for sending and receiving Add sessions into the stack between Network and Transport Wireless focused Benjamin Hindman Stephen Dawson-Haggerty Impact Project Milestones Decide on platform: 802.11 vs. 802.15.4 Design location awareness interface and automatic multi-homing (possible with IPv6!) Define interactions between this and session layer Network location awareness is broken: apps should (sometimes) know where they are Provide an interface to give them input into these decisions and affect multi-homing Provide usable sessions to allow continuous mobile data logging with no app reset
