Issues of Concern the legal transposition of the WFD the progress on the implementation tasks to be achieved by the end of 2003 the mechanisms applied to facilitate the active involvement of all interested parties in the implementation of the Directive the difficulties encountered during the last two years in the MS and the CC

Implementation Tasks for 2003 Identification of RBs and RBDs In a few countries, there is no final decision regarding the number of RBDs and on RBD authorities. However, the initial work has been completed and the evaluation of the respective proposals is in progress.

CIS 2000-2002: Difficulties Encountered 13% of the countries responded did not encounter major difficulties

CIS 2003-2004 The testing of the CIS Guidance Documents in Pilot River Basins and experiences gained will be the best way to get through different problems related to the implementation of the Directive.
