Instructor: Prof. Chen YuZong TA: Wei Xiaona (weixiaona@nus.edu.sg) Assignment 1 for CZ5226 Instructor: Prof. Chen YuZong TA: Wei Xiaona (weixiaona@nus.edu.sg)

Cancer related pathway Topics: Breast Cancer Lung Cancer Liver Cancer leukemia Requirement: Draw pathway using KEGG as template ( Assignment 1) Find key gene in cancer (Combined analysis the information of gene’s mutation, expression level, and copy number variation ) (Assignment2)

draw pathway map using KEGG as template KEGG website: http://www.genome.jp/kegg/pathway.html

Tool used for draw pathway CellDesigner Official Web Site

Suggestion Cancer are very complex process and are related to many pathways. You can draw the pathways based on the role of in a cancer, such as cancer metastasis, angiogenesis and cell proliferation. How many genes/proteins are appropriate in a pathway map? The more detailed the better.

Report Requirement Clarity in present your work. Completeness of the components in pathway. Understanding how cancer occurred and the role of pathway in cancer .

Important Deadline Divide three or four groups Deadline: 16th Feb Assignment report submission: Deadline: 31th March Contact: weixiaona@nus.edu.sg
