Project Comparison

Public Access – Swimming, Fishing and More Access for wading and swimming will be available between the marsh plantings and the rock sill Wave action will be reduced making the activities safer Ecology will be increased Fishing pier Recommended option for future consideration and planning Key goal at this time is to stabilize the shoreline Variety of grants available to seek funding Cost estimate just under $40,000 with permitting, design and construction Traffic flow adjustments Further study will be needed regarding impact on road closure; parking options will also be reviewed as part of the project

Higher plantings will be on the high ground at the rear of the sea wall to fill existing sink holes and re-stabilize Short form will be the planting used to stabilize from the sea wall to the rock sill Approximately 10 ft of clean sand will be found between the two Pathways can be left open and maintained as such to allow for access to the water

1998 – taken just prior to sea wall being installed
