WHAT ARE WE DOING TO YOUR SCHOOL?

The New Extension :

ARCHITECT PANORAMIC VISUAL IMPRESSIONS

WHAT’S GETTING DONE? 6 New classrooms – Now big enough for 2 classes in each year group Bigger hall that splits into 2 different rooms with a sliding wall between Existing classrooms in the old school are going to be made bigger and better New playground around the extension for more space New playground in the nursery area New Lift for traveling between the 3 different levels of the school New entrance with reception moved Bigger kitchen with a servery hatch for hot dinners New carparking for the teachers New staff room for the teachers

WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR? New temporary storage containers in key stage one New fire escape out of the hall New temporary ceilings in the corridors Installed the new concrete wall to help with the different ground heights Dug the hole for rain water storage tanks Put the foundations in for the new building

WHAT WILL CHANGE IN THE FUTURE? Demolishing the caretakers house and garage Safety Hoardings in the hall The school kitchen will be closed for the last half term to let the construction start New temporary accommodation will be set up After summer some classrooms in part of the school will be closed for us to continue with our works until the end of October

When Ivor and Honor are not working, they regularly visit schools to teach children about the dangers that can be found on building sites, and how to stay safe by staying away
