Reflecting on the similarities and differences between my community and other communities around the world The concept of identity in other countries can differ to that of our own country. The culture and environment of a country determines one’s lifestyle. MYP unit question How does my environment and culture affect my self-identity and lifestyle?

He isn’t short, he is tall. Grammar Subject + 不 / 很 + Verb-adjective tā bù ăi, tā hĕn gāo 他不矮,他很高 He isn’t short, he is tall.

gāo hěn tā 他 很 高 He is tall

tā bú pàng 他 不 胖 He isn’t fat

很 不 她很瘦 他不高

Who/what + 很 / 不 + Verb - adjective Grammar – Verb-adjectives Who/what + 很 / 不 + Verb - adjective Don’t use the verb ‘to be - 是’. 很 (‘very’) is often used between the subject and the verb-adjective. 不 is used between the subject and the verb-adjective in the negative.
