He isn’t short, he is tall. Grammar Subject + 不 / 很 + Verb-adjective tā bù ăi， tā hĕn gāo 他不矮，他很高 He isn’t short, he is tall.
gāo hěn tā 他 很 高 He is tall
tā bú pàng 他 不 胖 He isn’t fat
很 不 她很瘦 他不高
Who/what + 很 / 不 + Verb - adjective Grammar – Verb-adjectives Who/what + 很 / 不 + Verb - adjective Don’t use the verb ‘to be - 是’. 很 (‘very’) is often used between the subject and the verb-adjective. 不 is used between the subject and the verb-adjective in the negative.
