Where do I go to sign up for the GED? Visit www.myged.com to sign up for each subject area test of the GED.

How many subject areas are there on the GED? FOUR Language Arts Math Science Social Studies

All FOUR tests together will cost $150 How much does it cost? EACH subject area costs $37.50 All FOUR tests together will cost $150 (4x37.50)

NO, there isn’t a time limit to finish the test in Michigan. Once I start testing, is there a time limit for me to finish all four subjects before my scores begin to expire? NO, there isn’t a time limit to finish the test in Michigan.

What score do I need to pass the test? Michigan test-takers need to score a 150 on each subject area test and 600 on the entire test battery (all four parts combined).

What if I don’t pass? Don't worry! Your personalized score report will give you specific recommendations on what to study in order to score higher. And, if you don't pass a subject, GED will help you pay for 2 retakes.

If I don’t pass, how long do I have to wait before taking the test again? In Michigan, there is no waiting period if you do not pass subject are test the first time. After taking a test subject 3 times, you’ll have to wait 60 days before retesting. There is no limit to how many times you can test in a year.
