servile (adj): overly submissive, cringing Dr. Frankenstein’s servant Igor is a pathetic creature, always muttering “Yes master, yes master,” in a servile manner.

extol (v): to praise As an English teacher, I will always extol the virtues of and benefits to be gained from reading.

indolence (n): laziness Cats are legendary for their indolence, much preferring laying around and spreading their hair on furniture than doing anything that might require effort.
