Olweus Class Meeting / Assembly Debriefing October 4, 2013 Grades 6 and 7

Post-Assembly Discussion Questions 1.) Which character(s) had the most impact on you? Why? 2.) Which character(s) were most unsettling to you? Why? 3.) Using the concepts of mirrors and windows, what character(s) provided you with a mirror reflection of feelings you’ve experienced?

Post-Assembly Discussion Questions (continued) 4.) What messages have you received from your family or friends about race? Religion? Gender issues? 5.) Talk about a time in your life when you felt different. The time does not have to be limited to race, religion, or gender. 6.) Reflecting on the performance, what is one small thing you can do to improve the way you treat those who are different than you?

In Closing……. YOU are beautiful! Treat others the way YOU want to be treated! It’s okay to be different…….our differences are what make our school such a cool place!
