Your invitation You will be sent an invitation letter and leaflet to come for your breast test Invitations are sent every three years Section 2 - Page 1

What if I don’t understand the information? Telephone Breast Test Wales and ask them to send you an easy read leaflet The leaflet is called ‘An easy guide to breast screening’ Section 2 - Page 2

Your Invitation When you get your letter you can decide if you want to go for the test YES NO Section 2 - Page 3

Your Invitation If you are not sure what to do: Talk to your family or friend Talk to your nurse Talk to your support worker Or talk to your doctor Section 2 - Page 4

How do I change my appointment? You can ring Breast Test Wales You will be sent a new invitation letter Section 2 - Page 5

The Mobile Unit Most women have their breast test on a mobile unit If you are nervous and would like to see what happens before having your breast test you can ring Breast Test Wales to arrange this This appointment will be done at your local breast screening centre and not on a mobile unit Section 2 - Page 6

The Mobile Unit Wheelchairs can be taken onto the mobile unit but you will need to ring Breast Test Wales to arrange this Section 2 - Page 7

Who can come with me? You can take a friend, relative, support worker or nurse with you This person may not be able to stay with you when the breast test is taken Section 2 - Page 8

I Feel Embarrassed and Nervous! Everyone feels a bit embarrassed when they go for their breast test That’s ok! It may help to talk about it to someone you trust Section 2 - Page 9

What if I decide NOT to have the test? That’s OK! Please ring and cancel your appointment If you change your mind you can ask for another appointment Section 2 - Page 10

Remember If you are worried about any breast problems, don’t wait for your breast test It is very important to go and see your doctor or nurse They may send you to a breast clinic at your local hospital Section 2 - Page 11
