EFA FTI in Yemen PRSP was approved by WB Board in June, 2002. Basic Education National Strategy was completed in October, 2002. Based on the two documents, the MOE drafted FTI Proposal with support from the WB. The Yemeni FTI Proposal was endorsed by donor community in Paris, 2003. Yemen received FTI Catalytic Fund from International Donor Community in 2004.
EFA FTI: some value-added… Policy and Economic Efficiency Level of government ownership has increased; Promoted harmonization of donor support (MOU); FTI indicative framework stimulated policy reforms; Increased focus on completion and quality; Girls education was more emphasized; Increased emphasis on monitoring and evaluation; and Capacity building of the government was more focused.
