MUSTERD – Emergency Evacuation Management NLHSG Meeting 2018 22nd November 2018 MUSTERD – Emergency Evacuation Management Most emergency situations are unlikely if all risks at the workplace are adequately controlled, but they should still be prepared for. In this presentation, Steve Rothkopf will discuss how effective emergency evacuations can be carried out utilising digital technology as opposed to cumbersome and complex paper based systems. The presentation will be highly interactive and will give the opportunity to share your evacuation experiences with the aim of guiding the development of new technology to improve emergency evacuation systems. Speaker Profile Steve Rothkopf Steve moved to England from the United States to attend the University of Canterbury, studying computer sciences. His love of programming, and challenges observed, while managing a chain of restaurants led Steve to found Thinking Software in 1994, to develop and support staff planning and time & attendance systems. The concept of Musterd was born following feedback from contacts at Sellafield Power Station, and in 2018 the pioneering Emergency Evacuation and Roll-Call Management system was launched.
