What is PLSR? The Public Library System Redesign is a project supported by the DPI to review the scope and availability of public library services Led by a 10-person steering committee appointed by State Superintendent Dr. Tony Evers Project manager contracted by the Steering Committee facilitating work groups focused on current state law requirements

How is the process trying to meet the purpose? By working toward goals with intentions for outcomes

PROJECT PRINCIPLES Communication is critical for the success of the process. The process relies on openness and trust from all participants. Information and data should be the bedrock of the process. Outside expertise will add credibility and weight to the outcome. Ownership of the process must belong to the wisconsin library community.

What will this mean to a local library?

DESIRED PROJECT OUTCOMES Consideration of stakeholder benefits Balance between choice, flexibility, and standardization Models that allow for growth and encourage innovation Partnerships & collaboration Maximizing resources Improved service Service equity
