Computer Graphics Class Standards 2015-16

Course Content This hands on computer course will cover the following units: Layout and Design Principles Adobe CS6 Photoshop InDesign

Textbook and Materials Handouts Lectures Demonstrations

Class Objectives Competently operate: Photoshop and InDesign CS6 Design and alter a variety of black and white and color graphics Apply basic knowledge and techniques from each program

Application Assignments Evaluation: Final grade will be determined by 20% Formative 80% Summative Application Assignments Final Portfolio

MAKE YOUR BEST EFFORT ON EVERYTHING YOU DO. Expectations BE ON TIME RESPECT OTHERS NO SWEARING MAKE YOUR BEST EFFORT ON EVERYTHING YOU DO.

Attendance/Tardiness Attendance is the responsibility of each student. Attendance will be taken within the first five minutes of class.

Make Up Work Make up is the responsibility of the student Verification of absences permits the student to make up the work for credit according to the following policy: Make up is the responsibility of the student Make up must be completed within five days after student returns to school I will deal with long absences due to illness on a case by case basis.

Fire Alarms All students must evacuate the classroom when the alarm sounds. Stop working and leave as quickly as possible.

Hall Pass Students are expected to have a valid hall Pass with them at all times when they are out of class. No pass during the first 15 minutes or the last 15 minutes of class time. Students found without a pass will be marked unverified for that class period.

Reserve Teacher The reserve teacher will be given directions for the class. Respect is very important will the reserve teacher is here. A written report will be made for the instructor covering the conduct of the class.
