What is a Catapult? Where have you seen a catapult before? Let’s watch catapults at work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q44gcKANl ow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFdUaYSe3g Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFrSiSdRxV A

Draw the motion of the projectile

Is there anything you noticed about the catapults? Triangles used to make the projectile. Triangles are the strongest geometric figure. A bar to stop the firing arm. Something to launch the firing arm.

Your Turn! You and your partner(s) will build your own catapult and test it out. Once you have completed your tests, each group will have three tries to hit the targets.
