Alton Towers Resort is the biggest employer in Staffordshire with a range of long term careers, fixed term and summer jobs on offer. How many different job roles can you think of at the Alton Towers Resort? Alton Towers employs up to 3,000 people. Ask students to suggest some of the roles they think would be available. What sorts of jobs are these?

Where are jobs advertised? All jobs are advertised on the Alton Towers Jobs Website. Some specific jobs may also appear in specialist publications such as The Stage. Radio commercials are also used for recruitment. Jobs are advertised on a dedicated website (use the link to show the site) along with specialist publications.

What is the application process? Applicants will normally be required to attend either an assessment centre and/or an interview or interviews, depending on the role. At the assessment centre they will be required to complete short exercises in teams and attend an interview. Ask students to suggest what skills would be seen in the short exercises and which in the interview.
