Aspirations-n. strong desires or ambitions Many young basketball players have ASPIRATIONS to become an NBA player.

Deferred- adj. Delayed He took a DEFERRED admission to college and traveled to Paris.

Compassionate- adj. Deeply sympathetic When the young girl came home from school and told her mom she got in a fight with her best friend, her mom was very COMPASSIONATE.

Vulnerable- adj. Likely to be hurt He was VULNERABLE to the cold because he went to the bus stop without a coat.

Virtue- n. value A job teaches the VIRTUE of hardwork.

Alliance- n. a group united for a common goal. We formed a neighborhood ALLIANCE to plan events for our community.
