Inverness Castle – where Duncan spent the night with Macbeth – rebuilt in the 1800s. A castle has stood on the land since the 1100s.

According to tradition, the castle where Duncan was murdered was torn down in retaliation of Macbeth’s actions and rebuilt later. The current castle is a rebuilding of that castle.

Gatehouse of the castle at Fife, owned by Clan MacDuff Gatehouse of the castle at Fife, owned by Clan MacDuff. It is called Falkland Castle. It was built in the 1500s.

The original MacDuff Castle – seems to have been built sometime before 1300 and used until the castle at Falkland took its place. MacDuff’s descendants lost the castle and title after a war in Scotland – they sided with the losing king. Clan MacDuff has no clan leader right now.

The Countryside at Glamis – in reality, Macbeth was not Thane of Glamis, but it’s still a pretty place. 
