This one was no different. The architect had specified acoustic tiles suspended from the ceiling in an attempt to overcome the problem expected.

The best indicator of a rooms acoustic nature is the reverberation time. That is the amount of time a sound takes to dissipate in the room. A high reverb time ( anything above 2 seconds) will cause problems. As you can see the aquatic center measurements are well above this even though the sound tiles were fitted to the ceiling.
